Snort Integrator rule update

Hi guys,

If i am a certified Snort Integrator,how exactly are new VRT rules sent to me? Do SourceFire automatically send the rules to me or do I have to manually pull the updates rules from a certain location?

In general,how often is a new ruleset made available?

Hi Alan,

Integrators download the VRT ruleset from Snort.org either manually or through automated tools like Oinkmaster or Pulled_Pork. An Integrator license provides certain redistribution rights not available to registered users or subscribers. On average new rule sets are released 2 to 3 times per month.
